Overview

The high‑intensity, rare earth Swift‑Clean® Acutex® Probe Magnets, rated at +11,000 gauss, are engineered to intercept product flow to effectively remove contaminants, including work‑hardened stainless steel and stone particles, from both liquid and dry products.

The uniquely designed probes allow viscous emulsions, slurries, and high-velocity powders to move around the magnet with minimal resistance to flow. The tapered peak of each probe ensures that captured fragments are directed to the back of the probe, significantly reducing the risk of recontamination caused by product impact.

A key advantage of the Swift‑Clean® Acutex Probe is its exceptional flexibility, reliability, and ease of use in maintaining a clean and efficient system. Designed for ultimate convenience, this innovative probe enhances performance with streamlined, low‑effort cleaning options.

The Swift‑Clean Acutex Probe can be quickly removed from the system for out‑of‑stream cleaning. Once removed, retracting the plunger initiates demagnetization, allowing metal particles to be easily released. During clean‑in‑place (CIP) operations, retracting the plunger detaches magnetic fragments and allows them to flow downstream to an isolated area, effectively cleaning the magnet without removing the probe from the line. Your Questions Answered:
Swift-Clean Acutex Probe Magnet

We understand that choosing the right product is an important decision, and you may have questions along the way. This FAQ section is here to provide clear, concise answers to the most common questions about the Swift-Clean Acutex Probe Magnet.

Whether you’re looking for details about its features, installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting, we’ve got you covered. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to reach out to our team—we’re always here to help!

Explore the FAQs below to get started.

What is the average weight of a magnetic probe?

Average weight is 4.4 lbs to 10 lbs (2 kg to 4.5 kg) but varies based on the length of the probe.

What makes a Magnattack magnet probe ideal for processing thick products?

Magnet probes from Magnattack are manufactured with the highest quality material available to ensure that it will maintain its strength for several years. The structural integrity associated with thinner diameter magnets in thick products, such as slurries, will bend the probes and break them causing exposure to toxic materials and leakage into the product flow.

What is the heat temperature rating of the probes?

Magnattack RE80HT rare earth models can withstand product and CIP cleaning temperatures up to 302°F (150°C).

What makes the Swift-Clean Acutex Probe Magnet unique?

The Acutex Probe is exclusively offered by Magnattack. Its unique hydrodynamic design provides a laminar product flow path around the magnet, minimizing pressure backup. Additionally, it guides captured metal fragments to the back of the probe, where they are securely held on the magnet in the low pressure zone, keeping them away from the direct impact of the flow and lowering the risk of recontamination. The Acutex probe magnets, which are highly sanitary, will also help prevent product bridging and build-up. The Swift-Clean Acutex Probe enhances performance with streamlined, low‑effort cleaning options.
